I think the poll is reflective of what peters, Quinn, and KK need to figure out.

1. Is howell the guy?
2. If not, can fields be the guy and can we trade for him?
3. If not, is williams a generational talent and is it worth moving up?
4. If not, who do we take? Maye or daniels?

That is my thought process if harris ever calls me...lol
I have wanted Daniels from the get go. I keep hearing more and more about Williams being a generational talent. Fields, its too late as he is owed big money after this year on mid level play. Maye seems to be pretty good at everything but not great at anything.
I'm still leaning towards the dual threat Daniels but keeping my eye on Williams. Its FEB, not the end of April. My selection now may not be what it is in April. You tipped your hat bringing in KK but if the Bears decide they are not trading down, then you have your pick of Daniels, Maye or trade down and roll with Howell and grab additional talent.

Mike Lombardi today said KK could help any of those three QBs.

I have to admit that trading for Justin Fields is intriguing though!

For those of you who paused, even for a second at the thought of such a move, what would the maximum amout of trade capital and/or players would you give up to make that trade happen?
Me... our second rounder straight up take it or leave it.

For me, no trade works because you are trading into a contract close to $50 million next year or letting him walk.

Don't get me wrong, whoever they draft will cost more than that after 4 0r 5 years but I would hope he is better than Fields.

I prefer Daniels over Maye.
I would take Williams over Daniels and Maye if he's available at 2
I'll be happy with Maye if he's drafted
Under no circumstances do i want Fields
(Its fantasy football personal)

Every year there seems to be generational talent according to the hype. Mahomes was not seen as close to generational talent…oops.

As for Fields, you do not trade for him without a new contract already worked…and that contract is nowhere close to 30 million, let alone 50.

Not a vote:

This is a real possibility. Think about the bounty of picks we could garner from this draft if Quinn and Peters both feel that Howell could be the guy And we trade back. Not saying its probable, but it’s more of a possibility than many on here think.

Wow, 3 votes to roll with Howell.
Very surprised.

Draft daniels is leading the way.

i voted keep howell, but i could live well with daniels.i think taking williams would be a disaster.
Understood.

I personally don't see us rolling with Howell. I thought we saw what we needed to.

I understand he had a bad OLine and EB was not good. That being said, I am sure most struggling qbs in the league would say that as well.

My guess is that if Howell played for another team, we would all say that the team needed to move on.

i,m all in for anybody but williams.i think taking him would be a disaster cause he has,nt got the maturity to play pro football if he ran crying to his mama in college.

Gotcha.

I think sticking with Howell would be a mistake.
His 21 ints are.big red flags to me. He seemed to regress during the season and his decision making wad terrible.

It's up to peters, Quinn, and KK to decide now.

Peyton Manning had 28 in year one.

Yup. Troy aikman was up there also. It’s not the INTs that bother me. It was his regression.

There is reason to do all of the above.

Keep SH and you can get MHJ or a boatload of picks in a trade down. The book on SH is still open. He showed he can be very good last season. He also showed he can be complete ass, with a shitty OL and nobody on the team playing like they cared.

Caleb is a very hyped shrimp. He seems to have some maturity issues and will likely require a trade up. If he turns into Mahomes, he is worth it but he could just as easily be RG3. Trading up for him is my worst fear.

Jayden Daniels is a player I like. We can get him without trading up. He had the first ever 90 pass and run season in college history…but that is college.

Maye, if we are being honest, hasn’t shown the dominance of the college ranks, and we individuals have no idea what to actually look for…we like to think we do. Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers did not dominate college either but Tim Tebow and Matt Leinart did.

If it was Howell, Nix, or Penix, I'd roll with Howell.
At #2 you gotta take a swing at a silly.

I wouldnt trade more than a mid round pick for Fields, and make the Bears decide what to do with him.

I'd do a fourth or fifth rounder straight up, but not a third or higher.

I'm not sure the difference between Fields and Howell is worth the difference in draft picks from fourth to second rounder.

Agreed.

Manning was an elite college qb..Howell was not.
Manning played against superior completion as well.
