I don't know many UW fans that didn't attend, but I really, seriously understand why WSU doesn't have fans outside of its herd. Kind of obvious really. But you hold onto that lil guy.

And at the same time, the stats of this game for UW are very disturbing. A PAC team vs a MWC team and we couldn't run the ball to save our lives. The run stats want to make me puke. That's a F'n discrace.

Just back from the game, my takes:
1. Surprisingly few penalties and first game mistakes, though a lot of inconsistencies on both sides.
2. Don't despair, Husky fans, Browning and Pettis are going to be good, real good.
3. Boise's line gets the game ball, they dominated play.
4. Special teams for Boise almost cost them the game, they let UW come back, when they should have slammed the door.
5. Was impressed with how many UW fans made the trip, the place was jam packed.
6. Any more wins like this one, and I'll die of heart failure.

The stadium was sold out, a computer glitch made the student seats (the few empties you saw) only available starting late Tuesday. It was the second biggest crowd in the stadium's history. Since you can't buy alcohol inside, some went out into the parking lot to watch the 2nd half where suds were available. We needed it, watching the team go flatter than cheap beer laying in the sun.

But I'm still curious as to why things that have nothing to do with the game, Boise's conference affiliation, the color of the field, and the attendance seem a lot more important to you than the game and the talent of the team. I guess if that's the only bad things you have to say, that's a good thing, Mamba.

I'm am a bit worried about BYU next week, but the glitches in offense and special teams can be fixed. I'm confident that the Broncos will be ready.

Pros: Boise State D is very stout. Broncos held a PAC team to 29 rushing yards on 22 carries. Outstanding!

Need work: Passing game and special teams. No worries. They'll get there.

(BYU on the road is going to be a big hurdle next week).
