Oh there is an agenda goin on there.
Let me translate:
"WVU won THREE more games this year than last, stay with BGN as we take you through national signing day and explain how this years signees will lead the football team (because it loses 90%of its offensive weapons this year) to upwards of EIGHT GAMES, that's right, you read that right folks, EIGHT BIG ONES in 2015 !!
I don't think this season was a success. Nor was it a failure. It was on target. It was what was expected. Maybe slightly more. I give them a C+
I think you took a swing... and missed.
This year was an improvement over last year for sure, it would be sad indeed if it were not better than losing to BOTH Kansas and IAST. Success?????? NO, there were too many close losses that SHOULD have been wins, whether we expected them to be when the season started is moot, the loss to TCU SHOULD have been a season defining win, we should never have lost to TT or Texas after the performances against MUCH better teams.
what I've seen this bowl season showed that those teams we felt were ok losses and great wins may not have been. I really think we have a conditioning issue with our team, the late season fades say that our team lacks stamina. Next year will show the coaches mettle, whole lot of seniors to replace, a QB to find, an OC to hire. Next year will be interesting for sure. This season was similar to 2012 - WVU performed above their abilities the 1st half of the season (even with the 2 tough losses to 'Bama and OK) to a 4-2 record. But then the team took a slide the 2nd half and lost 3 games they should not have for a 3-3 record, combined 7-5.
Then they roll into a bowl game and seem totally unprepared for the team they were facing. Outside of the first quarter - they simply were outplayed. I saw a lot of improvement in their execution this season - but the results were not what they should have been due to Turnovers, Red Zone scoring (or rather - lack of) and some weak special teams play.
Let's hope they get to work in the off season and can execute to their full potential.
Next year - anything less than 8 wins will be seen as a disappointment, at least by me.
