No, it wasn't."Cobb" was fairly accurate. Good watch if you havent seen it.
It was a work of fiction based off previous works of fiction.
It's a shame people actually watched that movie. (I never did.)

Cuz it's 100% bullshit. He seems more like a comic book villain than an actual person in this movie. Hard for me to believe something like that. He shoots his gun for fun and orders women to bang him based on his baseball stats.
Does it quote Charles Leershen?Yall really should watch the video in the OP...
Well, it is Charles Leerhsen.Does it quote Charles Leershen?
LolWell, it is Charles Leerhsen.
By today's standards, yes he was. Probably more the norm for the time period though.
Cobb was a son of a bitch even by the standards of the time.
He was a hate filled POS and mean as they came.
He was a great of greats though.
He was named to top player of the first half of the 20th century in 1950, Babe Ruth was voted #2.
Cobb had some completely fictional biography work done on him just prior to and immediately following his death.
The narrative of him as some crazy racist monster sold. And stuck.
Very little to actually back up the things said about him and his racist hatred. (Al Stump I believe is the author who created the narrative.)

Well, it would be interesting if one of baseball's arguably three best players was a racist. Granted, it would obviously be different than if someone was racist today, but it would still be noteworthy. Luckily, the facts look like he (at the least) wasn't overtly racist, contrary to nearly universal belief.Who cares.
4,189 hits. .366 career average.

Oh, and who gives a fuck about his batting average or hits?
Give me your top two or three reasons why Cobb is a top-5 player of all time (assuming that you agree he is indeed a top 5 player of all time).
Top 5 player or position player? I think he would be just outside the top 5 for overall players for me, but I can see an argument for top 5 position player behind Ruth, Bonds, Mays, and Williams.Give me your top two or three reasons why Cobb is a top-5 player of all time (assuming that you agree he is indeed a top 5 player of all time).
lulz... because you knew him personally?"Cobb" was fairly accurate. Good watch if you havent seen it.
Be careful guys, the truth is allergic to @beardown07. He knows a ton about baseball and Ty Cobb, and will come in here and post gif's of Jim Carrey to disprove all of our factual points.
