I missed this one.
DeMarcus Ware - LB - Free Agent
Ex-Cowboys and Broncos OLB DeMarcus Ware has announced his retirement after 12 seasons.
"After a lot of thought and prayer, I've decided to accept the unknown and retire from my NFL career," Ware said in a poignant statement. Going on 35, Ware has remained an effective pass rusher, but been plagued by back issues. He is probably smart to quit while he's ahead. The No. 11 pick of the 2005 draft out of small-school Troy, Ware rolled up 138.5 career sacks, 117 of which came with the Cowboys. He's eighth all time on the quarterback takedown list. The four-time first-team All-Pro will be Canton-bound.
Great player for us and a great person too. There are still role models left in professional sports
