Dropping like flies. Gonna be seriously disappointed if Fed does not play.

All of the injuries ahead of the open will likely start a lot of discussion regarding the length of the season. And if they shorten the season, there will be more top players in exhibitions. They complain about too much tennis, but then they go after easy money playing tennis.

This is beyond stupid!! They are just doing Third round matches today and Nadal is playing two rounds in the same day?! Yes we are reverting to caveman dumbass tennis when we are still reliant on good weather after modern technology has conquered the rain with roofs. Why do top players even bother to go to this event ?

Fed must be having a chuckle over this one while he is resting and gearing up for USO.

It's cost prohibitive to add roofs to a stadium that gets used basically once a year. They can afford it at majors these days, but to add roofs to lower tier events just doesn't make sense economically.

What do you mean by exhibitions? You don't mean a Masters 1000 like Cincinnati, right?

I'm talking about events where top players play against each other for big money, but there are no trophies or ranking points involved. They became really big during the Jimmy Connors years. It's an easy way to make money for the pros compared to the grind of a tournament.

They usually do this. It was done last weekend at the Rogers Cup. Not a big deal. Wasting money on a roof for a 1 week tournament is border line retarded

Agree that it happens at several tourneys a year.

I don't think taxpayers would want to spend $100-$150M extra on a roof at non-majors.

Wow, Kyrgios punked Rafa. Rafa had played earlier in the day and it really took some starch out of him. Kyrgios did play extraordinarily well though. Still too much stupid shit with him for me though.

When you are in your 30s, winning more than 1 singles match a day is not happening. Hard enough to get through the one.

Yeah, tough.

A Ferrer vs. Isner Finals would have been cool.

Isner has never won a Masters 1000.

Ferrer is 1-6 in Masters 1000s, with his win coming against Jerzy Jankowicz.

Ferrer has actually played in 6 different Masters 1000 Finals. That's pretty impressive. Only one he made twice was Paris.

He's missing Madrid, Indian Wells, and Rogers Cup.

He won a 6-1 set against Federer in the 2014 Cincinnati Finals.

If we are Saying Rafa is old I agree!! However because he is Rafa I fully expected him to win both matches. It's beyond retarded to play two matches on one day especially for thirty plus year olds. Other than the injuries and balding head this is the first sign of age I am seeing from Rafa.

Didn't expect headcase Kangaroos to win and he didn't. He has to realize that to win you have to calm down and play with a cool head.
