It's kind of weird that Denis Shapovalov goes from playing a Masters 1000 in Montreal, to a Challenger level event in Vancouver this week.

Same for Dudi Sela.

I'm guessing Challenger level events don't count toward ATP points?

There are points earned in challenger events, but like the money involved are very small.

His highlights seem to be beating Cilic in the 3rd round of last year's USO before losing to Tsonga.

Beating Raonic in the 4th round of Shanghai before losing to Simon.

He also beat Del Potro in Madrid last year, and Isner in Houston.

Lowlight was losing to Coric in the 5th rubber of Davis Cup last year.

I guess last year was a much better year.

Yeah last year he made it to at least the 3rd round at Wimbledon, RG, and USO. This year he went down in round 1 at RG and round 2 at Wimbledon. Terrible year
