Bronco fans are getting their reigns all in a knot but if this were some other scumbag they'd be in a tiff about it.

Broncos fans on here have been saying that his suspension should have been longer so not sure where you are saying we are getting our reigns all in a knot? The kid made a huge mistake and the NFL saw fit for him to be punished for 6 games...honestly I thought 8 or more with all of this new information would have made more sense but hey hopefully 6 weeks is long enough for him to get his head on straight.

The NFL when you have got two strikes in the drug program can test an athlete up to 10 times a month if I remember right so I'm guessing they will be testing plenty.

Obviously when speaking of having Von over Dumervil it is speaking towards the idea that both are playing and which one would you rather have on your team. And honestly it isn't even a Dumervil vs. Von Miller because that is not even a discussion of which one is the better player...Von Wins that discussion every day and twice on Sunday.

The discussion should be would you rather have Dumervil or Shaun Phillips. At this point Phillips has had the better year and that is without an elite pass rusher helping take away blockers. I enjoyed when Dumervil was with the Broncos but he is the type of guy that can disappear for large stretches of games where you never hear his name called. He will about every 2-3 games make those couple of impact plays that make you love him but then the next game he has disappeared again.

Anyway didn't you get after me earlier today for changing the subject and yet here you are doing the same thing? This topic is about Von Miller not Dumervil.

P.S. that half sack more is with one less game. Let's wait till after tonight to really start comparing stats between these two. If we are just speaking first two games of the year then yes Phillips has outplayed Dumervil. You have to include in the discussion that Dumervil has an elite pass rusher taking blocking away from his side.

My original point is that Miller can't be better because he isn't playing. Miller isn't helping his team by being suspended only hurting, while Dummervil is helping, and not hurting. Plus if you still had Dummervil you could have Phillips and Dummervil right now instead of just one.

Also yes the NFL knew about all of this before these reports started coming out. It is why the suspension increased. In fact at one point the whole year was on the table but was then reduced down to 6 games as all the evidence came out on the situation.

We got Phillips because of Dumervil leaving so no we would not have both.

Now your original point though you are trying to compare Dumervil to Von Miller based solely on the fact that Von Miller is suspended and that is just plain stupid. What is the point of bringing that up? Why bring up Dumervil at all in this discussion? Again you got after me earlier for talking about the Houston Texans in a thread you started about the Ravens yet here you are turning the focus from a Broncos player towards a Ravens player. Throw in Von Miller was never thought of as the replacement for Dumervil...he played a completely different role than Dumervil has ever played for a defense. Phillips is the guy that is replacing Dumervil for the Broncos defense and he has done just fine making it to where Broncos fans at this time don't really miss Dumervil. When Von Miller comes back I'm sure we will miss him even less then.
