Doesn't matter what's legal under the law, state or federal. All that matters is the employer. Most companies screen for alcohol use, with the theory that if you know you're going in for a pre-screen on a new job and you're dumb enough to have alcohol in your system, then you could have a problem.

As a Charger fan this is nice to see. 29.5 of the Broncos 52 sacks last year are gone, at least for 4 games. Too bad the Chargers won't get to face them without Miller. O-line should be improved but it still needs help.

I don't know why this is so hard for you to understand of why this can be considered a gray area. In the past States have gone against what the Federal Government has established and for the most part the Federal Government has allowed the State to enforce the law as they see fit. Obama has flat out said the Federal Government will not interfere in Washington and Colorado with the pot industry. So technically the Federal Government is saying yes it is illegal but we will do nothing about it. The State has said it is legal and collecting taxes on the product. If you can't even admit that it is at least a little bit of a gray area at this time then seriously there is no reason to continue this conversation because there is no getting through to that thick skull of yours. Do you live in Washington or Colorado? Do you see how this is enforced on a daily basis? Because I do and I live 2 blocks from a pot store and see people walk in there constantly and watch police officers drive by constantly doing nothing to the store owner or those buying the product.

Agree on the "gray area", but there's no gray area within the rules of the NFL. You smoke weed, you get suspended. Black and white.

With regards to the law in general federal law trumps all, but Obama has decided not to use resources to enforce the federal law in Colorado. The next president may decide to go on a rampage and round up some people. So while people may feel safe, they are still breaking federal law, which could bite them at some point.

How can he say he isn't disappointed in himself. What a selfish piece of crap.... He definitely let his teammates down and he knows it.

YEah, what a selfish piece of crap he is. Not like he has a couple charities set up for children or anything. We should probably all wait til the appeals process is over with to say anything about him.

I agree and it is why especially the pot farmers have been very hesitant to come forward as they would have to give up the locations of their pot farms. This is why many of the House and Senate people of Washington and Colorado are trying to push a bill that would allow the states to function in this regard with no worry of Federal interference.

That'll never happen.

Probably not and it is a big reason that this Law for these two states will most likely fail and there will continue to be more illegal marijuana sold than actual legal marijuana which in turn then makes it a nightmare for the Police and court systems in those states.

I'm not so sure 50 almost sovereign states would be a terrible thing. My issue is that constitutionally, banning a plant should not fall under the exception of state sovereignty applied to regulating trade. I think a proper challenge going back to the Supreme Court would back that up.

You're 100% right. However, the Supreme Court has done what these Colorado posters are trying to do with the calling of marijuana "legal" in the state (lying). The Supreme Court ruled a long time ago that they can regulate someone who grows wheat on his own property and doesn't sell it; he just eats it. They call that "inter-state commerce" because it "affects" inter-state commerce. It's intellectual dishonesty to push an agenda. The Federal government does so much that the Constitution doesn't give them power to do that the word "constitutional" has been replaced with the concept of "morally right" and therefore the actual text of the constitution is completely nullified. It becomes completely subjective. In other words: the Supreme Court just does whatever the hell it wants.

The Federal Government doesn't have the constitutional power to make marijuana illegal. However, the Supreme Court gave them that power, and therefore marijuana is still illegal in Colorado. If it weren't illegal, then you couldn't be arrested for having / selling it (and you can be).

Adam Schefter has confirmed that Von Miller has not failed a drug test in the last year

"There are a bevy of ways to incur a suspension under the substance abuse policy without actually failing a test, including not showing up or being late to multiple screenings."

In other word, failing a drug test by not taking it. Like if you refuse a drug test if you get arrested, you still get a DUI.

Von Miller suspension: Broncos LB ban wasn't for positive drug test, per report - SBNation.com
