Virus Protection

Alright all you nerds out there, I need to get new virus protection and I am wondering what all you like/use.

...And not that kind IPW, my old lady is clean.

I don't mind paying a yearly subscription if it is reasonable and worth it. I had McAfee but it wasn't my favorites.

I am using Kaspersky, and it's the best one I've ever used.

You can get the software that is meant for 3 computers, split the cost with the other 2 people to make it easier on your wallets.

I agree with the above.

As for what I use, my school provides Trend Micro, requires that all students have it, and also requires that no student has any other anti-virus program. Trend Micro or no computer at all. Those are the only two choices. But I've been very pleased with Trend.

I use ESET32. AVG and Macafee isn't bad.

As long as you scan at least once a month, spyware too, you won't have any problems. Just dont buy norton.

Norton! lol

I had Norton come with a PC years ago and have since then always used it. So far, knocking on wood, never had a major problem and no virus related problems. It is expensive though.
I am not saying Norton is the best or anything, I really wouldnt know. Just that its worked for me.

Fuck Macs....the more and more ppl convert over the more and more viruses will show....plus macafee already has a virus protection for macs. But there isnt a spyware softwear out so to say you wont get any is BULL SHIT. Linux is the only safe OS with only 1 virus known.

Lo I have been hearing that for how long now? No doubt virus' do exist, and more people will crack the OS, but I have had mine for 4 years now. I use the worst possible programs like limewire and download torrents endlessly. Still runs as fast as day one and nothing to show virus wise.

AVG is OK but the Security Essentials from Microsoft works better with less hit on system resources. Just go to Microsofts web site and get it.
