Be strong.
So KickerMom, how was your trip?

Have we offered? Is he going to be there to watch WhoVA or the good guys (or both?)2013 QB Ryan Burns will be at the VT-UVA game.
From all I have read about Virginia Tech has a couple locks in the 2013 class already... Stefon Colbert, Micheal Parker, Kendall Fuller, Jabo Lee, Brandon Facyson, Dj Reid, Holland Fisher and a couple GS players including Thomas Smith who seems to be lighting up the stat sheets this year... Is virginia tech really that much in need of players from the state of Virginia (other than Bucky) when you have so many players that already are so high on tech this early in the process ??... maybe not Facyson but he has one small school offer so as of now Ill just assume tech is the favorite in that case....
IMO the state is loaded with talent next year. More so than usual.
Just checked the 247 2013 offers and its hilarious they have Kendall fuller as "Cool" on Virginia Tech. Stupid UVA Bias...
For some reason he has "Cool" listed for all of his schools. Maybe he's not playing football in college?:caked:
So KickerMom, how was your trip?![]()
Have they talked about offering yet or do they still want to see how everything shakes out? Glad you enjoyed your visit! It was unbelievable! We had no idea all that we would experience. We first went to the recruiting center to get our tickets which is all I thought we were doing. To our great surprise we were taken into Newsome's office and talked with him for a bit and saw some of the other coaches. Then we went to eat in some big room in the recruiting center. There they gave Dillon a pre/post game sideline pass. We were taken down to the field thru the tunnel behind the players and Dillon touched the "stone". I couldn't reach it...LOL. The we got to stand on the sidelines for about 30 minutes and watch the team warm up. They came and got Dillon and took him out onto the middle of the field to personally meet Beamer! Wow what a privilege! Then they took us to our seats which were on the 2nd row about the 25 yard line, right in front of the kicker's net where they warm up. How awesome it was for Dillon to be able to have that view of what it would be like to kick for VA Tech. The atmosphere was electric and the whole game was amazing. All the fans and just being so close to all the players was incredible. After the game Dillon got to go into the locker room for the "after the game speech". He was so amazed at all that he was allowed to experience. It was freezing but it was worth being cold!! All I can say is that it was surreal and something we will never forget! If this was an unofficial visit I can't imagine what an official visit would entail that could top this experience.

Lots, scroll back a few pagesAny recruits other than Dillon at the UNC game??
There were lots of kids in that room. I'd say at least 40. I don't know who any of them were though. I do know they only took 5 individually to meet Beamer! To Chrish1023 - I was just too busy to get on...Dillon had ring dance on Friday night then a select soccer game in Richmond on Saturday and another soccer game on sunday (his last game). He had two beautiful free kicks outside the 18 that he made and they won 3 to 2 and beat the first place team. I know he will miss soccer but football is his future. As far as an offer, nothing official. Mr. Newsome made it clear they are very interested and will be in regular contact with Dillon after VA Tech's season is over. He ask me to get him a higlight tape as soon as possible. I'm working on that!
