I don't understand the preoccupation with Smoke. Yeah he is a good player, but with our last class of RBs is that really a big deal? We can easily afford to skip a year there. Then again with Bayside being Bayside I doubt we get Blanding either.

His brother is a Hokie so he is going to be around a bit. The longer the recruitment goes, the better for us but it is still a real longshot. All we can hope is an official on a good football weekend and a late late decision.

I think it was a google search. You and Evan seem keep on top of recruiting more than anyone on the gurus on TSL and the gurus don't post that often. So I lurked for awhile and just decided to register today.

Not really. Helping his brother move out. Spending a little time with coaches. I wouldn't really call it a "visit".

As long as we keep all the RBs from 2012 I don't care about a RB in this class. And I think it's pathetic about the coach or coaches steering all their players to one school. Both the fact that they are doing it and that the players are listening. I'd hope I'd have the sense to see through their agendas if it was me

Maybe, and I know he favors Clemson, but I don't think he ends up there. Just my feeling. I think it's likely he heads OOS, but I still like VT's chances right now.

Things are way more close to even right now, Evan. 6 months ago OSU led big, then Clemson had him for about a month and after the SG visit his parents saw the light(as well as him) and now things are more or less even. Doesn't mean going up against Urban and Dabo is easy but it's nowhere near what it was even a month ago.

At the very least VT will get a great one in DJ Reid and is on the up for at least one 4* level kid in 2014.

Alabama is now involved, Oregon is coming in, tc.We have made up ground and the longer he stays open the better but it will be a fight until the end.

he won't fit wit oregon, and i agreee but i think it'll be between OSU, Clemson, Bama, Auburn, Michigan, and VT top 3 OSU, Clemson, VT top 2 VT, OSU although if reid comes in as WR and i think VT and Osu lands abigger fish which is likely then we may can keep him instate, just gotta beat clemson this season, but we're definetly in the picture after his last visit, trust me, we're near the top prolly tied or close 2nd to clemson and OSU who are prolly tied
