So we have commitments from three of the top 15, wink wink nudge nudge commitments from two more (DVD, Kirven) and a VERY GOOD chance with two more (Caleb, Edmunds). I Also think that Wynn and Ekanem are still solid chances. Clearly the in-state momentum has shifted to the scissorheads.

I think that we get Wynn but I think Ekanem will be a fight. I think that we can land him but it is going to be tough...

Pyke named a top three and we are not in it. I doubt he even cares about an offer from us now. AMR was a Beamer target so we know it wasn't for lack of effort.

What are our chances with the 4 OLs above? Probably not that good, to be honest.

But, I know for a fact that we've also got a number of OLs coming to Tech's upcoming camp. I think we'll probably extend an OL offer or two pretty soon after the camp is over.

Just to keep OL recruiting in perspective, we now have 16 OLs on scholarship:

4 R-Sr,
4 R-Jr,
2 R-So,
4 R-Fr,
2 Fr

So, we will need 4 OLs To replace the 4 R-Srs who will be gone after the 2011 season. Currently, we have OL Willenbrock who will arrive in 2012. That leaves 3 OLs to sign for 2012, or as a grayshirt for January 2013. We have about 7 months...plenty of time...to find 3 good OLs.
