I think that he is pretty on point, but a bit overly optimistic on Ekanem and Kirven. I think that they are ours to lose, but we need to stay on them. I alsothink that 28 is no our cap and we may see 1-3 more names pop up towards signing day.

FYI Chris Colston (Recruiting guy for TSL) tweeted last night that VT leads for Kirven, and Kirven's dad has confirmed that Korren is 6'5" and 290lbs, that is a BIG kid!

Colston is the guy who does the Hokie Annual. I think you are thinking of Chris Coleman, but regardless, all of this was from the recent Rivals update on Kirven confirming our lead.

He mentioned Alabama, but couldn't say enough good things about VT. I would be utterly shocked if he did not pick VT.

From ESPN:
Four-star outside linebacker Ken Ekanem (Clifton, Va./Centreville) has revealed his top five to Scout.com.

North Carolina, Notre Dame, Oregon, Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech remain standing for the 6-foot-3, 230-pound prospect. He does not have a leader.

Additionally, Ekanem intends to make his official visits after the season.

I believe he does have a leader(s)...
1)Virginia Tech 1A) Notre Dame
2)Oregon 2A) UNC
3) Pitt

Never say never..I believe he will either be a Hokie or a Golden Domer..

Pitts going hard after Ekanem. Would be nice to finally get a visit from this season but will probably have to wait until his HS season is over.

yikes. certain redshirt for him, and surely raises questions about his ability to get back to the level he was playing at when he returns. wish him a speedy recovery and lets hope for the best

Unless his knee is completely blown out and he gets a good doctor/doctors, im not too worried about it. A lot more people bounce back from knee injury now than 10-15 years ago.
Besides we dont even really know the extent of his injury, could be something like a meniscus or bone bruise. Both of which are painful and take time to heel but have high recovery rates. IDK i guess we are in a wait and see mode but im not (that) worried.
