The Habs are smiling too. The Lightning had to play 2/3rds of the game without a good player because he lost his cool.

The fact that the Habs even managed to get to overtime with that lineup makes me smile. They are missing 9 regulars now, and arguably their top two players - though at some point Price has to earn consideration for that designation too.

Whether there was an embellishment or not I bet that slash didn't feel good. That was a pretty good whack. PKs was pretty good too. If the refs would have called Vinny's butt end on Subban or even a trip on Subban 20 seconds before the slash fest none of that would have occurred.

Yeah he did, he actually looked like he was waiting for it. Purcell did some kind of weird shoot out attempt too. He tried to slowly flip it over Price from up close, it ended up fluttering weakly into Carey's glove.

the stare down was pretty cocky ... and the gentle puck tap in the shooters direction was cockier ... i have no problem with it though ... i like Price ... Im glad hes improved his work habits and hes back in form

Price was asked a couple times after the game if Purcell's attempt bugged him or was disrespectful. He answered no not at all in his typical low energy way (and I do not mean that as a bad thing). The only reason I listened to the post game comments was because it looked like he and St Louis were talking after the St Louis attempt but there was no mention of anything about that either.
