Veteran free agent forward Vincent Lecavalier has agreed to a deal with the Philadelphia Flyers that, according to TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger, will be a five-year, $22.5 million contract. The deal will also include a full no-movement clause. The former Tampa Bay Lightning captain became a free agent this off-season after his former team used a compliance buyout to eliminate his $7.727 million salary cap hit through the 2019-20 season

The move makes me happy. I like him and think his is a good player, but I didnt want the Habs to sign him to a big deal.

If my math is right, since '07 the Flyers signed contracts totaling 61 years and $374.5M with six players who won’t play for them this year.

Well I for one hope he has lingering injuries and his play suffers. Nothing life altering, just enough to make him suck.

There's been a recent trend the past few years of my favorite non Devils players going to rival teams. Teemu and St. Louis better not wind up on the Flyers or Rags.
