Think we can get Mingo to go to a game at Vegas, DC? He never would join us in Denver.

I bet (u know it is Vegas) that a person could buy season tickets for the Raiders games in Las Vegas and do pretty well just selling them to fans of the visiting teams...

The AFC West is going to look different! No Oakland? If the Chiefs ever need to replace Arrowhead Stadium they should move to the Kansas side of KC just to mix things up and throw everyone off! :D

I would be nervous as a Raiders fan. The NFL cities have lots of places to get into trouble and now you are bringing young kids into "Sin City". I also have concerns that this will not be a long term home for a NFL team. Vegas is all about visitors, and I am not sure I can see there being a rabid fan base there. Now you will get a fair number of folks that will come in for a game and a weekend in Vegas. We will see.

I still liked the idea of the Raiders going to St. Louis as (from what I have heard) a natural rivalry between St. Louis and KC. There was talk that they were working on getting a new stadium built before the Rams left, so they could have continued that plan for the Raiders. I bet they would fill any stadium when the Raiders and Cheifs played.

On a side note I read yesterday that all NFL teams are benefiting from all the relocation. If my memory serves me right the 29 teams that didn't move will receive 53 million overall. The teams are spreading the cost over time so it will not be a lump sum payment, but 53 million should allow for some upgrades and/or freezing ticket prices for a while. Sadly I doubt the last one occurs.

Couple of things...

1) I'm not sure if it is quite $53 million. The NFL gave the Raiders a very nice break making them pay $275 million less in relocation fees. Ticks me off a bit that they gave them a break like that considering the deal they got with the new stadium with Vegas mostly fitting the bill. Still though decent chunk of change coming the Broncos way and any time you have that extra cash on hand it allows you to maybe be a bit more aggressive say in some of the contract design. The Broncos have always been a team that has struggled a bit with cash on hand. The Bowlen family isn't exactly the richest ownership in the NFL. Doesn't mean they can't still do a great job by any means just means they have to be a bit more careful.

2) They did freeze tickets sales for this season so you could say that has already shown up for fans. I do appreciate especially after a down season the Bronco FO people realizing giving fans a bit of a break is a nice reward for continuing to stay loyal.

Yes ticket prices did not go up this year, but that is after 4 or 5 years of increases. Not sure I like the variable ticket pricing either. I like the cheaper Pre-season ticket prices.

Well I guess to me I understand the ticket prices going up. The demand for the tickets was huge with Manning here and of course producing a Super Bowl title. With success comes some cost. So I guess just good to see them willing to stop that trend especially with the team taking a bit of a step back this past season.

I also understand from a business standpoint, but it does get old. My guess with the waiting list still quite lengthy next year they will go up again. The waiting list has more then 73,000 names on it. That is more then enough to fill the stadium two or three times when you consider very few will be waiting on only 1 seat.. So why wouldn't you raise ticket prices until the ticket list gets shorter.

I can see it at Mile High right now - the Video Board flashes "Craps" and the fans - in unison shout - "You Lose."

Las Vegas Black Jacks - might work. While Baccarats surely will not work.

Las Vegas Roulettes
Or, the could be honest about it and call themselves in Las Vegas - "The Oakland card counters."

Funny how I've been hearing/listening to all these people speculate on how Raiders staying in Oakland for possibly 2 yrs could effect ticket sales, attendance, etc. Guarantee you if Raiders keep winning, they will come. If there's any repercussions, it will be minimal. Be another case " maybe " if they go 2-14 this year. Been to Oakland Denver games many times. Those fans aren't going anywhere if their winning especially with long drought they've had. Trust me
