Maybe Shayok accidentally left off "Tech" when he announced. I am sure if Buzz wanted him at VT, he would have reeled him in.

Not too disappointed. We could have used him for sure but I'm not a fan of discipline issues. We could use another SF/PF or PF/C though.

I think we also need to remember that signing Buzz Williams means we are going to build 3+ years at the very least before we hit our peak. I don't mind so much recruiting transfers if we they have to wait for a year. I don't mind if we have a personal imbalance between guards and fowards this year, We're going to be much better this year, but if we finish .500 in the ACC and made the NIT I would be beyond happy.

I was hoping Harris would have at least taken his visit here first. I'd mostly been ignoring his discipline issues and figured Buzz knew he could manage it. But now we won't have to worry.

Yeah, just because Buzz ramped up our class to #29 doesn't mean we will instantly get out of the ACC cellar. I'm bummed about Harris because Buzz was on a heck of a roll but this is still OK. I'd like to see one more big but, like you point out above, it may take more than April 2014 to get the roster completely squared away.

I'd just like to see VT out of the cellar. #12 in the ACC would be good progress. As amazing as Buzz has done this month, I don't think he can undo 2 years of JJ immediately. We had top recruits leave, signed some 2* guys, played walk-ons, and the team never seemed to show any improvement like they were being coached up (examples: 12-13's great start followed by completely stinking through the ACC portion of the schedule and teams consistently shooting above their FG% against us). In Buzz I trust.

Apparently there is conflicting info on Harris. I just checked the TKP thread (good lord that's getting hard to navigate) and Harris tweeted he will decide on Mothers Day. So its possible he hasn't decided yet or he has decided and is just waiting to make it official

So even though he has asked for his release, he'll considering sticking with the Vols? Doesn't one normally make the decision to stay or go before requesting the release? Cofer held some pretty solid offers coming out of high school. I would think playing time at VT would be easier to obtain than at FSU.....FSU always seems to have a "big" heavy roster.

I wonder if he decided to give up or if Buzz decided for him. Even if you are an average player at best, it has to be tough to give up a scholarship!

Looks like rebounding will be a tough task for the Hokies next year....probably going to have 4 or 5 guards on the floor at times!
