Chase Utley has hit 2 more homeruns today and has driven n 4 runs. Galvis also hit his 2nd homerun of the spring. Galvis has been using a new bat that is 2 inches longer and is also heavier than his old bat. In other news Amaro said that the right field position is up for grabs between Danks and Sizemore. Amaro said that Ruf will probably be sent to triple A. He said that he will not use Ruf in the outfield anymore. Keep in mind that Brown will be on the DL for the 1st two weeks of the season and he will take over in right when he returns. The reason Amaro refuses to use Ruf in the outfield is because of his fielding. What a joke! He is a much better fielder than Brown and makes very few errors. Ryno continues to be Amaros puppet and has no say in who he plays. The saga continues!

Yea, it does and that reasoning is complete fantasy by braindead. Typical from a complete joke of a GM.

Too bad we can't say the same about .175 Howard. All he's done so far is set last year's batting average .223 as his goal. I can't figure it out. With all the retards teams throw at you in ST it seems like veteran players should have a feast.

Yep, if a guy's bad, he's bad. He'll continue to block Ruf and even Franco who really need solid playing time.

This is the reason I refer to these contracts as albatrosses because the Phillies just can't move forward. The blocking of young talent like Ruf and Franco is unconscionable and everybody has to go along with it because there is nothing they either can't or want to do.

If Sandberg would create a media firestorm about which everyone already knows everything he'd be bitching about and he'd end up being the bad guy and may lose his job. So he takes the heat and the path of least resistance and this all filters down to the same conclusion that the owner continues to allow braindead to screw things up just because the safety of a big money T.V. contract. It all sucks.

The fact that any team pays a guy big money and then continues to allow him to destroy the team on a daily
basis is sad. Such is the case with Amaro. Amaro should not be involved in baseball period! He has destroyed Darin Rufs potential. Playing every now and then does not give a power hitter a chance to get a rhythm. When Ruf has a great game he gets benched the next day and will be used as a pinch hitter occasionally until he gets another start. Amaro has blocked him at every chance. Amaro continues to start Dom Brown. Rated as the worst starting outfielder in the majors. Ryno is a gutless wimp when it comes to managing a team. He is a pawn for the incompetent Amaro. There is no where else in the world that would pay these guys the money they make and then continue to allow them to ruin the business! That is insane! If and when the day comes for Amaro to be dismissed
the Phillies will probably keep him on the payroll in another capacity. That thought disgusts me! I want him gone!
He does not deserve a job in baseball. Also I doubt that Ryno will ever get a job managing another team once he leaves the Phillies! Here is my solution of hope. Get rid of Amaro, Ryno, And Gillick as soon as possible. Then we would have an honest fresh approach in building a good team!

quote from Sandberg “Barring anything that could come up,” Sandberg told reporters in Clearwater, Fla. “The fact that in the past [Revere] has had experience in both corners and we know center field. As I look at it right now, he’s left field.”

What, Ryno? He can play right field so why not put him in right and Ruf in left? I guess Sandberg is saying he'd rather have Francouer and/or Danks than Ruf. Unreal

I agree Cedrique. Why is Revere designated strictly for left field when his arm strength is just as utilitarian in right as left. Everyone knows Revere does not have the arm strength for center but his hitting, get-on-base percentage, and base-stealing acumen dictate he stays in the line-up and he has the arm strength for the corners. Put him in Right and put Ruf in left and you will eventually have an even better offense and defense. These dopes are simply blind to ANYTHING that is positive for this club.

I agree Northeast. Those decisions you suggest that the Phillies need to make starts with the numbskull owner who is so stupefied by all the money he does nothing. Frikin' idiot is going to run a once-proud and highly competitive franchise into the shitter and for what logical reason?

Yes this is Utley's time of year. Late spring training & the 1st month and a half Utley is the mvp. But after that, he goes back to the old shitty player who will only hit 2 more homers from Late May to the end of the season.

Four4Four! The Beemer is gone!

whatup Ram. we talked about that already. i said the beamer is very high maintenance car once the warranty runs out. and you said that you know exactly what I'm talking about because you have a 745 in your driveway just sitting there waiting for repairs. The Rover so far is a pretty decent car

Yea, I know. I was just saying hello by being redundant. Mine is a 740iL and I just dumped another $1300 into it trying to find all of the oil leaks in the engine compartment. I found some but there are still a few more. Now the car has a brand new suspension and I still need to fix the CPU that controls the speedometer and ABS system that is defective. I also need to get the windshield replaced because here in Phoenix, the stones that get kicked up on the highway put a nice crack in the windshield-another $800. So yep, I'm thinking of selling mine for the same reason you wisely got rid of yours. I promise next time I won't raise the same topic.

I'm going to give you some free advice. Don't worry about finding All the oil leaks. All used cars leak oil eventually. Just get it to where it is manageable (If you have to add a little every couple months don't worry about it.) Otherwise you'll be chasing those leaks for thousands of dollars.

Thanks four4four. My beemer is 1997 with 84,000 and change on the odometer. Yea I hear you Cedrique and thanks for the free advice but these leaks are significant enough to muck up any cement driveway. Out here in Phoenix, there are a lot of them. So, I have to fix the leaks.
