The other night was the first time I've seen McKennie play other than highlights. I was very impressed and not just the goal. His poise and ability in traffic to move the ball to teammates and also to run with it and he even played some defense. Watching the first half of that match was the most fun I've had watching a USMNT match in quite some time. I know it wasn't the top Portuguese team and I know we opened ourselves up to counter attacks and tired players if we really played balls out like that for 90 minutes but it was great to watch these kids run around like they cared.

Gulati announced he's not running again. Fuck yeah. GTFO. Now let's hope they can actually get someone in there that knows what they are doing as opposed to just propping up MLS' ponzi scheme

What Must Change in U.S. Soccer | By Geoff Cameron

Geoff Cameron out here dropping truth bombs all over the place

Absolutely. He couldn’t be any more right about the fact that the hiring of Arena signaled a clear message that they were phoning it in and were making zero attempt to progress. And yes, the US soccer federation has created this toxic divide between MLS and players abroad. Look at some of the top soccer nations without world class leagues. Brazil, Argentina, the Netherlands, and Belgium. Hell, even France for that matter. These countries top national players go play in the premier league, Bundesliga, and Serie A... and they are celebrated for it! US Soccer and that meddling twit Gulatti has set progress back a decade with this toxic environment he’s built.

Cordeiro voted new U.S. Soccer president

On the one hand, he's not the guy Gulati supported. On the other, he served as Gulati right hand man.

*sigh*

I guess things could change but I've got my doubts. We'll know what we're in store for if they hire an outside coach or one with more MLS ties.

We’ll see how it goes. I’m not optimistic.

Boy, i don't know. The future looks OK to me if we get our best 11 on the pitch...Last night was a total B team...at best. Our 3 best players didn't play against Columbia and we took the lead on them in the 2nd half. When would that have happened in the past...The arrow is pointing up and it's all about all of these young kids playing in Europe
