I don't get that at all. It's more embarrassing to not go. Even if you think we have little shot to do anything other than fail miserably I would think you would see the benefit of getting some of our younger players the experience.

What a different player Pulisic is on the right side than the left side at this point in his career. The last BD game highlighted it. Didn't do much all game on the left side and then immediately looked explosive (albeit opponents were desperate to score and not back) when switched late to the right after an injury substitution.

I keep reading about us playing a 3-5-2 tonight. I don't get it in this game. I'm fine if we are losing and switch to an "Offensive minded" 3-5-2 or if we are winning and switch to a defensive 3 man back. But right now our weakest part is our defense. So why would we want to put a 5th defender in the starting lineup? We need our defense to not play like shit and we need to free up Pulisic and Nagbe and we need Altidore/Wood/Dempsey to finish. We don't need a miracle and we don't need to play a perfect game. Flaws and all we are better than Panama and we are at home.
