A couple of questions I am pondering this morning: Assuming Hwang keeps up this kind of offense, where does Christian Arroyo fit in 2018? Does Panik get shipped out this month or in the offseason? Does Arroyo sit in AAA next year? Does he take on a super utility role?

Also, with Slater hitting well, where will Parker and Williamson fit in the team? Are they even on the 40 man roster this offseason? (I'm still peeved Williamson got all of two weeks to prove he belongs).

Why have Cain start the 7th?!?!

And WHY bring in Kontos with men on base?!? He has now allowed 10 of 27 inherited runners to score.

:noidea:

Who in this bullpen should come in with runners on?

Well, that begs the first question, right? Kontos does very well with a clean inning, and is poor with runners on.
I think Bochy is strictly thinking pitch count. Since Cain hadn't even hit 90 yet, he brought Cain back in. But yes, this bullpen doesn't need sticky innings to come in. Bring them in clean, but, then again, if the first guy falters, we come back to square one. Its amazing how poor this bullpen is with inherited runners. My hunch is that the starters have suffered most from their ineffectiveness, but I know that other relievers have also been bit by this issue.

I am OK with Cain coming out for the 7th, but as soon as he gives up the leadoff single, he's out. He pitched a good game in a tough park against a good hitting team, why put all that at risk by putting in our gas can, er, relievers who can't stop runners from scoring?
