He said this week he'd "be really pissed" if the Bears win the Super Bowl this year? How bitter and low-class can you get? Ditka's advice? "Move on, Brian."

I'd be pissed too. That's just a competitors nature. It's his first year of retirement, after 13 years with no ring. It was a tongue-in-cheek comment.

And if he were worth it, they'd have gladly paid him that much. The fact is, probably half of the $2M offer was to show him respect for his career. As I said, I bet the front office is delighted to part ways with him and upgrade the position with a non-asshole.

He was the leader and signal caller of arguably the best defense in the NFL last season, and only a year removed from back to back pro bowls.
