This is entirely up to public opinion at this point. Do you think that's worthy of some sort of discipline? I think most would say yes. Would that get most people fired at almost any job -- most likely. Is Urban somehow above the standard set elsewhere just because he's really good at his job?

I mean, many people would lose their job if they were caught lying and covering up for someone they directly supervised; especially if they were potentially criminal allegations against that employee.

Agree - winning kind of comes into this as well. If Urban wasn't winning 10-11 games a season there may have been a different outcome.

So Smith's wife at the time texted Urban's wife and said Zach abused her. Did she also file a report with the cops? Honest question, I can't find clarity on this.

She was actively trying to get a restraining order on him, but the cops wouldn't do anything unless she had proof of immediate danger

The House brought Articles of Impeachment but the Senate did not convict him. Articles of Impeachment are similar to filing charges.

Put your baby carrot back in your pants. He's broken 0 laws or NCAA bylaws. There's still no actual proof that he knew - the accuser herself said that. Even if he did know, she chose not to go to the police, so what is Urban going to do? Go to the cops for her? They would still need her to come forward and press charges and she didn't want to.

This isn't necessarily true. See the Tittle IX tweet I posted earlier. People in his position, as heads of NCAA programs and at public universities do, in fact, have a duty to report these things.
