I do feel bad for folks who have to work weekends. I did that shit in my mid-20s. Even with good pay, fucking awful.

We gotta earn $$$ when the time for earning presents itself.

Most private parties are held on weekends, and since I'm a party entertainer, most of the gigs I book (approx. 80%) are held on Saturdays or Sundays, with the other 20% almost always on Friday evenings. Very rarely do I get a party booking that's not a Fri-Sat-Sun. Most small private party gigs last 2.5 to 3.5 hours (each client receives a 20 minute reading), but occasionally I book a larger party.

Mondays thru Thursdays my time is spent in cafes & coffee shops doing brief 10 minute readings. The clients who received a reading from me in a cafe/coffee shop are the folks who eventually book me for weekend parties. 90% of my clients are female, and they generally don't care much about football.

At a gig I cannot check on game scores on my phone since I'm basically in a submarine during a private party with my phone on silent, and the only time my phone comes out is when I'm running a credit card transaction for a client who just received a reading, and then it's immediately on to the next client/reading at the gig.
