Bah, humbug. I just can't get into baseball. Football is fine, but it takes a backseat to hockey. I'm taking the family to the Red-White game in a few days, then I'll be looking forward to NHL hockey, AHL hockey, and some college hockey action. Come December, I should have my rink up in the backyard. It's really quite unbelievable how little I care about the Lions or Tigers (and bears, oh my!).

I'm equally pumped about all three. Redwings, Lions and Tigers. Just can't get interested in basketball, even though it was fun as hell watching the Pistons Defense slap the ball back in the faces of the Lakers back in 2004...

My problem with baseball is if my team isn't in it (Met fan so they're never in it), it's not enjoyable to watch. Hockey, football, regardless if my team's are in it, I can enjoy the games. Baseball really needs to forget about the tradition crap and get with the times. Salary cap, 2-4 team contraction is a great start. Level the playing field and the rosters wouldn't be so watered down.

..hockey season starting. I've never had this feeling in Detroit. But Tigers are playoff bound, and the Lions look exciting. Probably get into hockey in January.....maybe cuz the Wings have been too good for too long?

What in God's name happened to you.:puke:

Enjoy it. I get to watch the M's and Seahawks. There's only one fact you need to know to see how bad that is. Last Sunday Seattle's soccer team outscored both the Mariners and the Seahawks...combined.

that's pretty much how i feel, though i do follow baseball casually. I have been a diehard hockey and wings fan since i was a little kid and i don't think that will ever change

hockey>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>football>baseball>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> basketball (Does that even exist anymore?)

Once my team (Padres) is out of it which is usually before the All Star Break I watch a game now & then. I keep track of the playoff races. I'll watch some of the postseason depending on who's in it.

I refuse to watch the Yankees play the Red Sox. The games go on forever & the media's love for these teams has become so annoying that I really can't stand it anymore.

As long as the Yankees or Red Sox don't win the World series it's all good.

Yankees are going into the postseason looking solid. Obviously I am a Sox fan, but we are imploding right now. I'd say the Yanks look even stronger than the Phillies right now.

But pitching wins you games for the most part... Skanks got the offensive power. Hopefully the Red Sox can get some kind of momentum going into the postseason... Thats if they make it.
