Bitter fallout of failure: Source confirms Peters took himself out, unhurt

My apologies if this is too OT in this forum, but I thought it was an interesting sidelight to the game last night. Apparently, soon-to-be 34 year old OT Jason Peters pulled himself from the game last night because he didn't want to get injured in a game that no longer mattered. This guy never deserved to be a Pro-Bowl nominee as he's on the downside -- if not end -- of his career. But this raises another important issue: how (some) Philly players are responding to Chip Kelly. There was an issue earlier in the year raised by Malcolm Jenkins about how there was no accountability on the defensive side of the ball. Now, there's this.

This type of garbage always used to happen to us. It's nice to see not only that we're rid of this crap, but it's happening with other teams like the Eagles.

Back before the salary cap era Peters would be cut.
The cap is a blessing and a curse but that's pure BS
Anybody think Chip gets fired this off season ?

Chip should be fired. He pulled a Jodh McDaniels. I think I will cut both starting WRs, trade my RB and replace him with a guy that doesn't fit, and then traded a successful QB in the system for an old QB that doesn't fit.

As for Peters...wasn't it an upgrade to bench him. Didn't he give up three sacks to Preston Smith?

If I was a Philly fan I would want Kelly out of there. He just emasculated that team.

Cant expect to win by getting rid of McCoy, Jackson, and Macklin. Kelly will go down as the worst GM in history. The only way he keeps his job is if he gives up GM duties. This goes right up Luries ass. Coaches/GM's don't work

I think he gets asked to relinquish his GM duties. If he refuses, he gets fired. If he accepts, he gets another year.

I was thinking along these lines as well.

Saw this last night from a tweet by Howard Eskin, but he's a semi unreliable source so wasn't sure whether it was true regarding Peters.

Really bad look. There is definitely some chaos behind the scenes.

What a joy it is to not be dealing with locker room drama.
