Thom is very cynical concerning Griff, always referencing him as 'Super Bob', which doesn't lend credibility to his opinions at times IMO, as using that nickname is passive aggressive in it's own right.

I'm not a fan of that type of writing. It tends to leave me of the opinion that the author has an axe to grind. Which - as you note - doesn't help with the credibility of the writer with me.

Personally... I think Griff will be fine. I never believed for a second he was healthy last season.

But will he be able to change his style and first instincts to protect himself and his knees?

I have said from Day 1 (and Chico will vouch for me)... give him an offensive line where he can sit in the pocket and throw and we will regret having him on the other side for the next 10 years.

I stopped reading when Mr. Loverro referred to RG3 as "Super Bob". Maybe the word "Super" has something to do with Mr. Loverro's everyday vocabulary, so its just his…normal? You know, when Thom goes out to eat at least 8 times a day he tells the cashier to "Super" size that order.

Go ahead Mr. Loverro call RG3 "Super Bob", its your lowest calorie "Super" of the day...You "Fat Bastard"!

that is the point to my interruption here. You only became hard towards Bob in September. You were as giddy as any redskin fan this time last summer.

No big deal shark....just saying.
Look forward to it....even with Romo at the helm :yahoo:

Its the off season dude. Every one gets to talk trash. But to be 100% honest I started to wonder about Bob when he started the coach promised me talk. He wasnt healthy and still managed to have an average season. If he pulls his head out of his ass and corrects his own flaws instead of trying to deflect so much, he has the ability to become one of the greats .

watched bob since high school, could be good, has the skills, but I never saw one of the games greats in him. I saw an athlete like few others. Oh well shark, should be an interesting year three. See you on the other side

Guess that depends on who you think qualifies as great. If you consider Moon, Flutie and Montana as some of the greats, Griffin does have the Skill set to fit into that mold and do well (again provided he doesnt let his ego get out of control). But I dont think he will ever be a strictly pocket passer like Brady, Manning or the like.

that Montana reference seems a little over the top, roll outs and all. Moon not as much and Flutie would make the next ten years most bearable for division foes. I vote Flutie if I get one. :yahoo:

Stop being so reasonable Otis ;)

We will know soon enough. But I think there will be improvement in all phases of his decision making.

Nice to hear a comment like this from a cowboy fan. :suds:

Actually it started poorly. We don't need fans from other teams coming here to challenged Shark or anyone else. That is how he started. Of course he had to be a smart ass with me. If we have a Trash talk thread then let them use it the way it was designed. I do not go to the Dallas or any other board and really do not care one bit one they say. You can be sure it is not going to be praise. Let them use the thread that was created for them.

Here is the quote from RG3 in that article:

“What I think is going to help us most this year is that everybody is going to be for us being successful and for us winning,” SuperBob told FoxSports.com. “There are no ulterior motives.”

Wow - scathing stuff. RG3 should perhaps have been thrown in jail or at least suspended 4 or 5 games. Are you kidding me? It sounds like simply the rants of a writer who works for a half assed paper who wants to get his 15 minutes of fame. Epic fail. Much ado about nothing!

Can't wait for the regular season.

Sorry Socal... but all he did was quote RG3. And honestly if RG3 wanted to simply convey the message that everyone was on the same page, there was no need to throw in the ulterior motives comment. That was his way of saying he didnt think the coaches wanted to actually win last year because they had ulterior motives in mind. Again, no need for these kinds of veiled slights at this point from him. Every one wants to move forward, but he is still basically saying last year wasnt my fault, the coaches sabotaged the season.

You are reading way too much into his quote. Also - was that a valid reason for the writer to constantly call him "SuperBob"? The worst that RG3 has done is perhaps say the wrong thing (not to an insane degree - just perhaps a few wrong words). Beyond that - I see the guy working very hard, being positive, helping out those less fortunate & pretty much being an alright guy. How does any of that make him such a bad guy?

I realize that for some reason you have a major bone to pick with this guy. However - give it a rest - all that matters are the results on the field for the next several seasons. Beyond that - who cares? If he plays like crap next season - by all means rip the guy a new one.

It's a message board and he really wasn't starting shit with shark IMO. If this board is only for redskin fans with no other banter going on but from skins fans it'll be a very boring place to be.

Loved him at Baylor... he can make every throw a QB needs to make. That's how I judge QB's... and why I'm still convinced RGIII will be successful.

Griffin has the talent if he can adjust his game to be more of a accurate passer with a good line and run as a 2nd option then he can have a long and prosperous career in the NFL.

But if the coaching staff or Griffin keep using him as a option style QB his days are numbered IMHO. I wish him well and hope it works out for him. Good young man a little strange but aren't we all .
