Working a game in IndianapolisHis pick is in I di not know this was a legal formation
I first saw it a couple years ago, or maybe it was last year... things have been blending together these last 20 or so years... Anyway, so my buddy that I used to play flag football with puts this on my FB page and says something about how we should have figured out a way to run that play. We used to run all sorts of trick plays and wacky formations and such. The Statue of Liberty was one of our signature plays. We ran it like once or twice per game and had so many different versions of it out of different formations that we ran. We even had a play action for it as well that we could do as a read-option type thing on the fly depending on how the defense was playing us.
Ha that's fucking great. I thought that play was great running them had to be fun
The worst we did was senior year our offense was terrible. Coach was pussed. And stuck us out on defense when we were supposed to be on offense. To make a point. Not sure who was more confused the guys Redding the game. They didn't know whether to call us for a formation foul, personal fouls etc.... Wound up letting us off the hook on the delay of game. Or the other teams defense. The looks on their defenses faces were classic. Seeing our defense lined up in a 4-3 zone. Coach had a sense of humor
