Trying to get perspective here.

When you are the king of the conference for some time I guess rooting for the inferior teams isn't as bad.

When you are rooting for a team for the sole purpose of making your team look better it starts to venture in that nut swinging region. Can't speak for anyone else but I root for Sparty bc I like their football and basketball coach, have known a few kids that have played over the years and we both hate Michigan. If Michigan State beating a team they were playing would somehow make Ohio States schedule weaker (not sure if that could happen) I would still find myself rooting for them. Guess you could say they are like my second favorite team.

Yep. I admit that I used to be of the Team Big 10 crowd. Then one day I found myself rooting for Michigan bc by golly it sure will make the Buckeyes better if they best a good UM team later in the year. Thought to myself WTF are you doing and stopped that stuff right away.
