Yeah sweep it under the rug. No Offense but that is pretty big egg on the face for UGA the whole situation.
In what way?

He came in highly touted, but couldn’t win the job, so it make sense he go be a backup elsewhere

He's a Bama fan commenting on a thread about UGA coordinators moments before his team plays for a natty. Tells you all you really need to know.

No offense you just see it from a UGA fan perspective. It is expected that you would put a positive spin on it. From the outside UGA seems a bit lost and looking for answers this past month.

Seems you just don't like dissenting opinions from your own even though you created a thread for opinions.

I don't see Georgia as lost and looking for answers. They lost to a team they shouldn't have in a bowl game that doesn't really mean a lot. Five star kid didn't win the job now he's leaving.

Opinions are great, they are what drive this board, but opinions are allowed to be criticized.

Especially stupid ones.

You'd think a team that's imploding wouldn't be bringing in the second ranked recruiting class with five more five stars coming in.

Dude the whole Fields situation. Smart making postgame comments after the SEC title game. Then UGA laying an egg in the Bowl game. If you can't see that there are problems that need to be addressed I dunno man.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I hope Fields all the best. He has incredible athletic ability. All the physical tools necessary to be a great player. His problem is between his ears. He's so confident in his athletic ability, that he doesn't recognize what he doesn't understand about the game. If he has it in him to humble down his ego and learn, he has a chance to be a generational player. If he can't sit down, shut up, and listen, he will be a failure no matter where he plays.

Don't get me started on the Sugar Bowl. Tim Worley said everything that needed to be said. Kirby needs to get a grip on all the egos on the team. Saban does a great job with it. Maybe Smart learned a thing or two from Saban.

"Imploding"? That's probably too strong a word, don't you think?

They might be interested, but I can promise that Kirby ain't leaving for Tampa, and if he does, I'll literally eat a crow.

Plus I don't think Kirby would make a good NFL HC. Recruiting is his best attribute, and that means nothing in the NFL.

I hope he plays well. I can't blame the kid for leaving. He was a 5 star QB who had always been the best player on any field he stepped on and he thought he'd come in and get the job day one, and he didn't, and he probably wouldn't next year either. If he can go somewhere and play, he's gotta do what's best for him.

I don't think it's a lock that he starts at OSU next year either, but I do think a spread offense would better suit his skill set.

Hamilton might actually get a fifth star he'll be the only one in Notre Game's class.

Guys, I think I may have fallen victim to fake new via local sports talk radio.

I'm seeing now that Chaney just finished his first year of a 3 year contract. I guess the sports jocks and I thought the 3 year deal was his first deal.

My apologies for the waste of a thread.

Contract might not have expired, but Jim Chaney is leaving for Tennessee.

I have a feeling that if Kirby really wanted to keep him, he wouldn't be going anywhere. Coley will be the next man up and Sam Pittman and Dell McGee can get some much deserved raises, and I bet a promotion is in order for McGee.

Dell McGee is the one that I would hate to see UGA lose. That dude is a Sensei. Pittman is well known as the best OL coach in the nation, pay him whatever it takes to keep him. McGee is a not nearly as well known, but he is, IMO, one of the best assets UGA has on offense. I know a lot about that guy. He was the RB coach at Georgia Southern prior to Kirby, and taught Matt Brieda what he needed to learn to get him to the NFL.
