Hope one of these guys makes an impact. These UDFA guys seem to rarely become impact players. For the 49ers anyway.

Yea I read that earlier this AM. I couldn't believe he went undrafted...and also we got him. I think he makes the team...his size and hands alone bring something that none of the other receivers do.

that would be fine with me, but this should also be the time for DeAndrew White, Dres Andersen, and DiAndre Cambell. Lots of competition at the WR position, and it'll come down to ST's.

I saw yesterday on NFL Live that last season on the first week, about 28% of the players on the 53 man roster were UDFA. This is about the average the last 10 years. Also, about 17% of become all pro, just behind 1st round draft picks and players drafted on day 3. Maybe one or two of the UDFA will make the team.

Surprising percentages.

Yeah, think the 49ers have been getting one UDFA per year? As it stands now, don't think any of these guys have a chance, except MAYBE Cajuste? There are a bunch of WR's from last year, that won't be easy to pass.

Plus, this year may be extra hard to make it, since we had 11 draft picks. Whenever the value/competition is close, the draft picks win the 'tie breaker'.

Some teams like the Hawks have done well that way but not the 49ers. We have some on the roster but few, if any, have been key contributors. I can't really think of any of the top of my head. Maybe Purcell.
