....are currently winning their regional semi-final by 75 points.

It's hard to imagine the men's game being remotely as popular as it is with that lack of parity.

they are seemingly unbeatable, year after year after year.

there are two teams I know my Longhorns cannot beat this year, no hope: UConn and Baylor.

I have no basis in saying so, but I would guess the fans who follow the women's game ... in general, and except for a few programs, don't really give a shit if their program never wins the NCAA tournament. Except for the parents of the girls and people like that.

That tournament is really more for the girls than the fans or media.

I might get shit on for saying this, but how can you get beat that bad without completely losing all your mental toughness? How can the 15th best team in the country be THAT MUCH worse than the best team?

The amount of quality women's players is far less than men's and all of the really good ones choose to go to UConn. Women's sports often rarely have parity.

Women are easier to coach too. I bet Auriema has a much easier time building chemistry than any men's coach.

Partially true. Geno obviously recruits well but he doesn't always get the best players. But he gets the best players for his system.

Something to consider is that in the women's game your best players stay all 4 years. Can you imagine what Kentucky might look like if guys stayed all 4 years? Their front court would be Karl townes and the brow. Who is beating that team?

UConn and TN have won 18 of the 34 past championships

In women's basketball the best player wins the tournament quite often. Far more often than in the mens game.

Just in the past 20 years

Tenn won 3 titles when they had Holdsclaw
UConn won 3 titles with Taurasi
Tennessee won 2 titles with Candace Parker
UConn won 2 titles with Maya Moore
Uconn won 3 titles with Stewart

That's 13 titles since 1996 just because they had the best player in the game.

Frankly UConn should have a couple more but melted down in key moments (specifically 2001 and 2008).
