I would be surprised to find out the Broncos did this deal and didn't have a backroom deal with Taylor to play the next two years at $7 million - Elway's announced budget for quarterbacking with Sanchez and Siemian already signed up. So Taylor comes to a contender - goes from $3 million to $7 million for the next two years -and all he has to do is add one year to his contract. His agent must have said to himself - if the Broncos will do that for Kaep - why not for my client? No guarantee as to who starts - 3 QB free for all -have at it.

This would give the Broncos a game manager in Sanchez - and a game changer in Taylor -and a guy named Siemian who has already spent a year in the system - after beating out a QB the Broncos wanted to protect enough they carried him on the 53 man roster for fear of losing him.

This would be a big challenge to Kubiak to sort out these QBs.

This is kind of what I want at this point, whether we land Kaepernick or not.....an open competition. Sanchez from everything I've read seems reborn, and I don't care what anyone says, he still has the physical talent to be good in this league and especially in this system. A fresh start may have been exactly what the guy needed.

The Tyrod story seems a bit far fetched, but with as wacky as this offseason has been at this point who the hell knows?

If Denver was planning on drafting a QB at #31 , I'd rather have the known quanitiy in Taylor so yes trade our #31 for him.

Taylow looked like a guy that could play. He was poorly coached in Buffalo. Offense not Rex's thing.....
