I remember when he didn't show up to his start in his final year with the Mets (I think it was). I remember the whole story surrounding what happened and being like "Yeah, that dudes an addict or an alcoholic". It was the only explanation... and he had a big reputation around the NYC bar scene. The coke and the nosebleeds explains even more.
