I still hate the trade after listening to why the organization didn't like Petersen. Everything anyone outside of Jerry speaks about O'Neill is his amazing work ethic and his goal always to maximize every ounce of skill he has since he wasn't gifted any real one aspect outside power that would've made him a great prospect. Much like Altuve.

It is just very difficult to understand what Dip was or is thinking regarding some of these moves mostly because they just don't make any sense. This trade was a turning point for me with Dipoto, it really sealed the deal that this guy might be out of his mind. At times Dipoto has shown some brilliance in trades (maybe luck) and other times its a complete fail.

My two cents is that it's gonna be tough for Gonzales to be a consistent starter unless he develops a third pitch. Otherwise his ceiling is probably what Mirandas is right now. However if he isn't gonna start over what we have then why not throw him in the bullpen. Scrabble and Pazos haven't been as effective the last month. I fail to see the point of this trade unless Gonzales was going to contribute this season
