I guess when a team puts up 144 pts in 3 games, a measley 31 doesn't look good but isn't that like one of those first world millennial problems? Like I had to wait an extra week after the launch for my new Iphone. If someone said Brees throws 4 TD's and none of them are to Thomas, Kamara, Ingram but to guys named Lewis, Carr, Kirkwood and Arnold, people would think you were on drugs. I'm not too worried about the Saints going into Dallas. The Cowboys will come back to earth.

Only 171 and also threw an INT and completed less than 70% of his passes

True but honestly, they ran the ball a lot and were gashing the Falcons at times and that was only Brees' second int of the season. I get what you're saying but it's still kind of a deal where we get spoiled by perfection.

It isn't like they are in the stratosphere.

Solid D. Good run game. Safe pass game. Maybe found a receiver.

But that D puts pressure on the QB. And they just beat Hot Lanta in Atlanta.

Oh, I agree about the solid part Hank but let's face it, the teams they beat aren't exactly playing good. The Saints are a different animal altogether. I think you are being objective too and I'm not bashing them. It's just that this 3 game win streak has the talking heads acting like they are a SB contender. And that's a bit much at this point. They are barely above .500 for a reason. I really like Cooper but yesterday, the Skins DB play was horrible. And I'll reserve judgement on Dak when he can consistently throw an accurate deep ball and win when Zeke gets shut down.

And 4 TDs. That is still pretty good and was more than enough thanks to very poor play calling by the Falcons and many forced TOs by Saints Defense. Brees only threw 22 passes and they ran the ball a lot. 22 passes works out to one TD every 5.35 passes.

The Saint Oline is one of the best in football. I think Brees only been sacked 10 times in 11 games or something close to that.

Also, the Saints are the best run defense in all of football

And also to add on to the point @Dr. Strangelove is making, the cowboys beat 2 teams with 4 wins during this win streak and the other team they beat QB just went down for the year.

I just looked at the Cowboys wins for the year.

Cowboys are 5-0 vs teams below .500 and 1-5 vs teams .500 or better.

And that one win came against the Colt McCoy led Redskins

Must be nice to play in the NFC East. I have no idea how those teams in the division are not better.

You get to play the crappy AFC South so including your division that is about 8 pretty soft games.....10 if you include the games vs Tampa and Atlanta

As Rodney Harrison said, don't discount that Dallas defense. I think the game will be closer than you think.
Don't discount their offense either. Some people scoffed when they traded next year's #1 pick to the Raiders for Cooper, but this kid has been a huge boost for their offense. He's given Prescott a genuine downfield threat, which in turn helps thin out the defensive front a bit. This in turn benefits Zeke with run lanes. And yes that D of theirs is pretty damn good to boot.

I'm not saying SB. I'm not even guaranteeing a win against NO.

They don't need deep balls.

And they do have what it takes on the other side of the ball. And they are at home.

NO in Bal, another good defense was very close. As crappy as Minny is this year they kept it close"ish" at home.

I don't think Saints get 30 and game will be a lot closer than people think if Dallas can consume clock.

Then it should be good, because Dallas gets after the QB like not many others.

And just an observation, which are the great rushing teams they've faced? And how many were able to continue to rush as NO scored against them?

Yet 2 of those 3 teams they have beaten recently are teams NO played and beat recently.

Phi and Atl. And Dallas beat them on the road, not in the cozy confines of home field....

Yup, that is about what I think too except the Saints D is tough on the run and the pass rush is legit. I'm not sure the boys can score enough or control the clock. And like I said, I know you are being more objective about their chances. Not bashing them at all. I don't agree about the deep ball though. At some point, you have to keep defenses honest up top.

You're not seriously comparing the Cowboys to the Saints right?

Only because they play next week and they have played and beaten the same teams in different locations. Pokes beat them on the road and Saints won at home.

And it sounds like you have anointed yourself king already. Premature speculation can hurt....

The Dallas defence may be better than the Saints defence.

Rushing is even but Dallas has been getting better since Cooper and should they be able to eat the clock by running....

Very very well coached as well. Nobody is gonna sneak up on the saints
