Either you want thoughtful football talk or you want a trash talk pissing contest. One of the best forums I know of (for basketball... sucks for football though) is ******. Trolls get suspended. If you troll multiple times you get banned. You'd be surprised how it elevates the traffic on those boards and how strong the conversation gets.
Trust me... you're better off not being a douche bag. The season will have some ups and downs... the SF game was an up and this one was a down. A victory would have been great, but the defense was terrible today and a defense cannot afford to be terrible against the Packers. Actually, the run defense wasn't that bad... but the pass defense was non existent. In the second half, Jay thought he had to do everything himself and when he gets into that mode he starts playing outside himself and makes mistakes.
Positives... we ran the ball VERY well. Martellus Bennett is continuing to put together a great season. The run defense is stringing together some good games.
The Packers are a dragon this team will have to eventually slay... but it wasn't going to happen today. The refs and injuries are no excuse either... we just didn't have what it takes to force a punt. And on that note... neither punter had a punt attempt (although in our case, we had two drives end in turnovers, a drive end with the half ending and another on downs... so some of those weren't a case of our offense being unstoppable). How many NFL games have ended without either team punting?
The Pack had seven drives under Rodgers: touchdown, touchdown, touchdown, field goal, touchdown, touchdown, missed FG.
It's pretty effing obvious on which side of the ball the blame for this one lies.https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/blamejaycutler?source=feed_text&story_id=10152398473992151
I heard after the game that this was the second game in all NFL history that did not have one punt. So yes this sort of thing has not happened very often
Yup. I agree. The Pack had seven drives under Rodgers: touchdown, touchdown, touchdown, field goal, touchdown, touchdown, missed FG.

whatever makes ya feel better toover, you are superior and I am inferior, happy now?
I still don't like ya, so my motivation is simple.
I don't shake the 8 ball to decide whom to respond nicely to and who to attack.
I went off on the Packer trolls, not any of youse, but some fellow Bear posters decided to step on me, for whatever strange reason.
All I said when i first got here was "glad we spent all that $ and draft picks on Jay cutler" then suddenly I had 20 enemies here waiting for me in this chat.
But I did agree with JoeyTourrette about being a Debbie downer, he's right about that, if you can't believe we'll will win until that 60th minute expires, well then scream into the couch cushions and stay off the keyboard, lol.
Some really good points in this thread. One name that hasn't been mentioned is Lamar Houston. Where the hell has he been over 4 games? I know he got hurt towards the end of the game yesterday but he has been invisible over the first quarter of the season. I hope the man has some pride, picks up his game significantly and earns his paycheck.
OK... You know one thing... Your offense scored 17 points. What would you expect are the odds that your team won? Maybe 20%?Sure ignore the fact you had ZERO POINTS IN THE SECOND HALF.
Tucker is not a good coach, evident in his game plan against GB. He opted not to blitz, letting the front four produce pressure...or so he thought. What was this idiot thinking? With two starting linemen out (Allen and Ratliff), you would think he would want to dial up some pressure to compensate for the depleted line. All of this while keeping in mind that Rodgers had been sacked 9 times in three games previous. Everyone knows pressure disrupts AR's game... So what the fuck was Tucker thinking?
Answer: He wasn't.
I agree that there wasn't really anything wrong with Tucker's game plan going in.I'm certainly not a fan of Tucker either. With that said, it's a "pick your poison" situation when deciding to blitz vs sit back and defend. The problem is that we don't have the secondary to cover GB's WRs when we do blitz. So when we blitz and the guys don't get there, big plays are the result. I'm not saying we shouldn't have blitzed, a mix would have been nice, but I can see why we chose the approach we did.
The Bears' offense held the ball for 36 minutes and some change through 77 plays. Defense with 23 snaps in the first half. It's not as though they were on the field too long.OK... You know one thing... Your offense scored 17 points. What would you expect are the odds that your team won? Maybe 20%?
Now flip it around... Your defense allowed 38 points. Same question. The answer this time is near zero.
Case closed.
