I see you like to assign blame ... I take a shotgun approach ... total team is to blame

you cant say "the Sedins deserve more blame than Luongo for the loss to Boston" and then in the next sentence say superstars are supposed to get it done when it counts when Luongo shat the bad in the games at Boston

the forces of nature conspired against the canucks :thumb:

As most know I'm not a Luongo fan. It has nothing to do with being bitter about Milbury trading him. It has to do with the fact the guy has been compared to Roy since his draft year & hasn't done much to deserve the comparison. I just think he took too much of the blame for the loss in the finals. The Canucks were banged up. At times I wondered how Kesler was able to play the way he did. The Sedins should have done more.

I really thought last season was the Canucks year. Maybe this year will end better for them. We shall see.

It could be argued that it was the most lopsided 7 game series in Stanley Cup finals history (Bruins outscored Vancouver 23-8)

I agree the Bruins ran away with some games but they also faced two elimination games.

To me if a series goes 7, the teams are pretty evenly matched.

I see where you're coming from though Dash.

Based on last year I understand Malkin at 22...but seriously, he's going to tear through the league this year. He has that look to him.

I know everyone likes their own players but I think Kane is going to jump after this season, he looks as good as i have ever seen him

Vanek has put up some nice numbers esp seeing his set up man (Roy) missed half of the season last year.

Maybe it's the homer in me but I can't think of too many players more deadly in the slot area. Plus he's not afraid to back check. Am I wrong here?

Did you guys know Jeff Skinner is only 19?

The most impressive thing about what Skinner did last year is who he was playing with. Other than Eric Staal, Jokinen & Ruutu there isn't there isn't much else to be exited about. Brandon Sutter actually took a step back from the year before & he's going to be their #2 center this season. Which means he'll be Skinner's Center.

pix, the funny thing is he was tabbed as a Hart and Art Ross favourite by the TSN panel last night on their preview show, yet he comes in at #22 in the TSN top 50 players list.

I don't even think Darkstone could do crazy math computations like that.

OK, so I'm not trying to start a flame-war here, but honestly, I don't see how you can put a guy who hasn't played a game in over 9 months and has no specific time frame assigned for his return as #1.

There's no question he was the best player in the league leading up to the injury and could very well be the best player in the league after coming back from his injury this year, but I don't think you can call him #1 entering the season, just out of principle.

Duncan Keith needs to be higher and Brad Richards is too high, IMO too.
