So many main characters are gay, we now learning..... that Harris cop guy is too, his comment to Purple about his body, which creeped out Purple, LOL

And we know now why Roland always had a soft spot for Tom, their connection and bond and relationship.

Yeah, I figured they'd tie it back to the church but as soon as they showed gay conversion pamphlet then it reveals itself to probably be the conspiracy.

So Tom kills Dan O’Brien

I’m guessing the two cops kill former detective Harris for planting evidence and helping Hoyt (or his daughter) kidnap Julie

Not sure what the son cheating with the director adds to the show. The Hays family drama is by far the worst part of this season

A good, dark episode.

It's the first episode that I feel is hurt by jumping backwards and forwards in time but in many ways it's one of the better episodes.

The first episode was great and had me looking forward to the rest. But I watched the 2nd one last night and I thought it really got bogged down in the developing love story with his future wife. I don't mind 'slow burn' as long as what they're burning is moving the core story forward. The woman who plays his wife is fine but I just don't need all of that backstory of them falling in love. I'll watch #3 tonight but if it's more of the same I may bail.

I underestimated this one. It's been terrific. It gets better with every episode. Ali & Dorff are just stellar together, but all of the acting is top notch. I like it better than season 1 so far. How they end it could change that, but I'm looking forward to finding out.

The flashback of him driving his daughter to college threw me. It had all been 1980, 1990 and current day up until then. That had to be what.. around 2000 ? Are we supposed to know what that's all about yet ?

No, I don't think we're supposed to know. I have a theory but I think its just better to wait until next week since I'm only batting about .300 with my theories so far.

Early on in a present day scene he made reference to her when talking with his son, as if she lived somewhere else or something. I forget exactly what it was, but it was in one of the first couple of episodes.

In the current day scenes, she hasn't been around and his wife is apparently dead, so something big involving those 2 is coming.

All I can speculate is

the person in the black car watching him is probably his daughter. Or in a weird twist maybe his wife. I suspect they are going to end of the season with him getting closure with his family even if the case is all FUBAR

Interesting twist at the end. I thought it seemed too neatly tied up at first. Not as good as the first season, but much better than that season 2 abortion.

I liked it. Lots of great moments. Not sure if the slow pace was justified but definitely worth it

Maybe, but after the big shootout that changed the game that season (in episode 3 i think) I thought that the rest of the season was very good.

I liked the season but hated the ending. A slow burn and hints at a larger pedo ring that turned out to be nothing. Smokey eyed black guy just tells us what happened in the end. No show down with Hoyt. No consequences for them murdering an ex cop.

Overall the weakest story of the three seasons and my god the marriage drama was offensive to my time as a viewer.

I’m convinced that entire season needed Amelia (hays wife) cut out
