Eh idk. The rose was the first and only until 1930 and there were only five in 1940, so the chance of another (especially to be played on 01/01) is pretty slim.

I was just trying to post the first bowl game by a school from Virginia. I was not really trying to answer the question. I like looking up stats like this...

BTW - I think when I posted 12/06/47 people would have known I was not posting New Years Day games...
