1955 Dodgers?
Nope, I was quite surprised by this one actually.
1955 Dodgers?
1932 Yankees is correct, the Cardinals answer is incorrect
As I said I didn't know if they were correct. All I could find was combined Hall of Famers at 14.
14?! I see 9
I think he's talking about both teams in '32. Did the Cards have 5? Dean, Frisch, Medwick, Haines. Hmmm, who else? Was Grimes on that team?
Ugh, now I see that it wasn't the Cards in 1932 but the Cubs... anyway, the point is the same, I think he was talking about both teams
Ahhhh okay you meant total. Yes 1932 Yankees had 9 players (Earle Combs, Bill Dickey, Lou Gehrig, Lefty Gomez, Tony Lazzeri, Herb Pennock, Red Ruffing, Babe Ruth, and Joe Sewell)I don't remember where I found it because I was looking in many different websites, but the one I found had the 1928 World Series with 7 HOF on the Yankees and 7 on the Cardinals. The 1932 World Series with 10 on the Yankees and 4 on the Cubs.
Their numbers did include coaches.
Yeah 12 total players (I already listed the 9 Yankees players) and the Cubs had 3 (Kiki Cuyler, Burleigh Grimes, Gabby Hartnett). It was 14 total if you include the managers (Joe McCarthy and Rogers Hornsby) even though Hornsby was obviously inducted as a playerUgh, now I see that it wasn't the Cards in 1932 but the Cubs... anyway, the point is the same, I think he was talking about both teams
Nope they only had 3. Johnny Bench, Joe Morgan, and Tony Perez6? I would have thought the Reds teams of the 70's would have that many.
6? I would have thought the Reds teams of the 70's would have that many.
The '28 Cardinals didn't win the World SeriesThe 28 Cardinals also had 6. Pete Alexander, Jim Bottomley, Frankie Frisch, Chick Hafey, Jesse Haines, and Rabbit Maranville
