Only three real differences between Canada and the US:

- fewer guns
- higher taxes
- universal health care

I was going to throw in more polite, but I've met plenty of friendly Americans as well as rude Canadians in my travels. It's pretty much a wash in my book.

These are a few more differences that I'll throw in OTTOMH...

- less disparity
- slacker justice system
- less people in jail for non-violent crimes
- more over-regulated

It's a myth that Canadians are generally more polite; they aren't. With that, I'm very sorry to have to dispel this myth.

I don't know when everyone just decided that needing a permit to hold these demonstrations was no longer a requirement but it seems like a textbook example of "give them an inch".

Anyway, I assume all of these people will subsequently hop on their bicycles and pedal up to their solar-powered farm made of reclaimed wood that produces absolutely everything they consume and require to survive.
