Also a coup is "a sudden, violent, and illegal seizure of power from a government."

So when there is zero violence involved, no seizure, and the process follows the procedures outlined in Article 1 of the US Constitution, this is just a stupid statement and, frankly, seems to be an indication of guilt based on his past behavior and results.

We had an amber alert here yesterday, info was that 5 kids were missing from Niagara Region and believed to be with their father, believed to be driving a “red pickup” and “possibly heading toward Toronto”.

It was cancelled a few hours later with the subjects still missing. It turns out that these people have all been missing since the middle of last week and nobody at that time had any idea what vehicle they were in let alone the plate number, a most recent whereabouts nor any information on where they may be heading.

Two months ago an alert was issued for a young girl from Newmarket and the person being sought was her grandfather; turns out gramps got lost/disorientated while driving his granddaughter and wound up in Etobicoke 12 hours later.

Wasn’t the criteria for an amber alert that there had to be very specific information regarding recent whereabouts and vehicle, and some sort of confirmation that an abduction had occurred was required? Is it similar in other jurisdictions or have they basically started issuing it anytime a child is missing regardless of details? I feel like activating it without the original parameters is going to lessen the impact it has.
