A year is a long time but given NAFTA was resolved favourably, the economy is doing well and he hasn't gone to China dressed in a silk dress or anything lately this latest poll is probably concerning for Junior about a year out from the election.

A Conservative Majority

It could happen, but I don't know about Schneer.

What the fuck...

There is actual history of white women falsely accusing black men of r*pe, but it's fallen away considerably with a justice system at least a little less likely to convict black men without evidence, and this is an awfully twisted use of that history, especially since Republican legislators are already using drug laws to throw black men in prison, often without fair trial due to overworked public defenders being unable to properly serve their clients.

Holy shit! Whoever made that ad should be shot.

-The voices are racist.
-Men are not in danger.
-Women are as evidenced by 320,000+ rapes per year in the United States and that 1 in 6 women are the victim of a completed or attempted r*pe. Source
-The Kavanaugh hearing was not a criminal trial.
-Also, the crime of r*pe has a history of being under reported.
-To say nothing of the "if this can happen to a white man..." motif.

For the record, the candidate featured - French Hill - has condemnded the ad. He called it "outrageous" and "nonsense."

I would not vote for someone named French Hill on his name alone.

Brilliant. Create the ad to draw in the outer fringe, then denounce it to placate the rest.

I think it was a PAC group that created the ad. I hate them personally, but the Supreme Court has made terrible decisions in recent years surrounding elections, political ads, campaign financing, and what "people are" in my opinion.

...The ad was created by a group called Black Americans for the President’s Agenda, which was founded earlier this year, according to the Washington Post. In the ad’s fallout, the state Republican Party has filed an ethics complaint against the Super PAC, which ThinkProgressreports may be funded by wealthy white donors, including Charles B. Johnson, the principal owner of the San Francisco Giants.

Vernon Robinson, the group’s co-founder, told Vice News that the PAC spent less than $50,000 on the Arkansas ad, which is primarily targeted at Little Rock, and a similar version aimed at voters in St. Louis and Kansas City, Missouri. The ads are aimed at voters over age 35 and are not playing on hip-hop stations because Robinson believes “hip-hop voters don’t vote.”

Robinson sounds like a real progressive without any prejudice at all. :L

voted in our civic election today
there was someone running for mayor named Rollergirl
someone for City Councillor named Spike
and School Trustee running as Mrs Doubtfire. she (he?) got 1130 votes so far, though is last in the race.

I'd vote for Rollergirl. She's a star.
