If this guy tried to tell your bro that Montauk = a Hampton, beware. I must have missed that part of your original post; Montauk is the absolute eastern end of LI, very rocky beaches, not nearly as nice as some of the south shore beaches and not as fashionable with the tea-n-crumpet set.

This is probably true. I feel that way about football, but not baseball or hockey or NBA.

If one of the Twins/Sox participants had some skin in the playoff game, I'd be more interested, like with the A's/Angels.

I'm not sure what he told him. I just had a 10 min call and then he had to take another one. I just heard Hamptons and Montauk and thought Montauk was part of the Hamptons.

I'm not too worried since the guy is rolling in cash. Which might explain the little trip to the Bahamas? To go to the bank down there? I don't know.

Been about 12 years since I've been there, so I couldn't say.

Been ten years since I was in Southhampton. Had a friend who lived there, but he down-sized and moved off the beach to some shithole like Jericho or something. Reason I know it was ten years? We were there for a friend's 50th birthday, and now his wife is sending us invites to his 60th.
