See, a whole thread title without mentioning the boring AL East.

But now that you mention it...

The Yanks were stymied (again).

The Red Sox will not win 100.

Radio silence continues on the DC shooting. If there had been 13 victims in Boston, the world would still be gripped in cold hysteria and global panic. Twitter would have been brought to its very knees with a deluge of support for every traumatized resident of Boston.

I still have seen plenty of coverage on the DC shootings. Now it hasn't gotten as big as the Boston Marathon bombings.

I am wondering if that is because one was a "shooting" and the other was a "bomb." Usually bombings get more attention in the media

I can't believe the Orioles still have life. And the Indians are only a 1/2 game out for either wildcard spot? Man, this is going to be interesting.

I knew the Orioles would I just had that feeling. Same feeling I have that the Red Sox might be letting off the gas a little....

Indians no way did I think they would be where they are right now

Come on, Hammer. You should let this one go. Both are tragic, and comparing them based on media coverage is a disservice to those who died.

Terrorism will get more attention than the acts of a single psycho, and that is because with terrorism there are usually more people involved, and is just as much a crime against the country than a single individual.

Also, with Boston, the suspects were not apprehended or killed right away. That adds to the element of fear, and increased media coverage.

Probably more so than the Yankees, I would love to see the Sox keep Baltimore out of the playoffs. It has nothing to do with Baltimore being "dangerous". Part of it is payback for 2011, and another is because I don't like Buck Showalter.

You have to be fuckin KIDDING ME. A-Rod compares Mariano Rivera to Roberto Clemente on Roberto Clemente Day? :L

Not exactly a ringing endorsement. When will the insanity end?

Answer: Never

Before the hype ends, Mariano will be whispered as the greatest to have ever played the game and you know that's not an exaggeration.

Matt Harvey going to try rehab before Tommy John. Either way will be ready for opening day '15 when the Mets hope to be competitive.

The Boston bombings were also carried out by immigrant extremists, and there was a wild manhunt that followed. There were many subplots to the story. If the Boston bombing had taken place in DC, I think it would have been an even bigger story than it was.

How would you say the Rangers collapse compares to the '11 Red Sox if they miss the playoffs?

do you realize we could actually be looking at a Final Four scenario in the AL this year for wildcard spots.
