Not even close
#1 it hasnt happened yet
#2 TB is been just as bad
Injuns win tonight take over 1 of the WC spots at least for a day:suds:

2-8 is the same as 5-5? Why do we insist on an AL East bias?

How would you say the Rangers collapse compares to the '11 Red Sox if they miss the playoffs?

The Sox were supposed to win the WS that season, so nothing else really compares. I am very proud at how this team moved on from that, endured an even rougher 2012, and stand where they are today.

It is a testament to the great job Ben Cherington has done with the Sox. He dumped those contracts, got rid of the bad clubhouse guys, and brought in a blend of sub-superstar, yet talented players. Just as important, the new players all came with reputations as clubhouse leaders and good teammates, and have lived up to that billing.

In many ways, I like this Sox team more than the 2004 Championship team. This team is devoid of superstars and the 2004 team had Pedro, Schill, and Manny to help lead the way. The 2013 version all play as one.

:10: Or the Rangers

My top concerns for the AL each season:

1.) The Angels don't make the playoffs
2.) The Rays don't make the playoffs
3.) The Yankees don't make the playoffs

This just in. It turns out that new Rasta Snoop Lion won his bet on the Mayweather fight.

But, he did not win any money, but yet he was extremely happy. What did he win?

A POUND of premium chronic.

Matt Harvey going to try rehab before Tommy John. Either way will be ready for opening day '15 when the Mets hope to be competitive.

I don't fully get this...every "good" pitcher recently who has had the surgery seems to come back just as good. Maybe not Stars but he was a little over jetered anyway.

Through rehab isn't the chance or re-injuring better as opposed to TJ?

Maybe because if TB wasn't playing the Rangers in that record it could look a little different since both have sucked.

Well and they both are 7-13 in last 20 20 game sample>>>>>>>>>10 game sample:suds:

Isn't the decision ultimately that of the player? Maybe he wants to pitch in '14 more than get better and be ready for '15?

I just see a potential of not being as good or having a set back having the surgery later and if that happens far enough in the future missing more baseball.

Not saying its anyone elses choice just not sure I agree with it.

If this was a new procedure with mixed results I would be more skeptical but its has worked pretty well lately.

I don't get this myself. They are saying if he waits the 6-8 weeks and then has the surgery, he could still be ready for the start of 2015, but why take the chance?

In just about every case I can remember, the player ends up having the surgery anyway. Harvey should give himself (and his team) the better odds to compete in 2015.

The A's, and winning shitty.

OAKLAND – Four players came up huge for the Oakland A’s in Tuesday night’s 2-1 victory over the Angels, and that was just in the ninth inning.
Alberto Callaspo started the winning rally with a single. Jemile Weeks pinch-ran for him and tagged up on a heads-up play to advance to second. Coco Crisp work a ten-pitch walk that eventually loaded the bases, and Josh Donaldson (shown, below left) delivered a walk-off hit to score Weeks and give the A’s a dramatic win.
It was a wild scene as A’s players burst out of the dugout to mob Donaldson by first base. Turns out, it was a wild scene inside the dugout as well. For much different reasons.
The bathroom flooded in the home dugout in the middle of the game, just the latest chapter in the sewage saga that has played out at the A’s home ballpark this season.

“Another O.co Coliseum flub there,” said reliever Jerry Blevins, who described a “pretty good coating” of sewage on the dugout floor when he returned to the dugout after pitching the top of the seventh. Ninth-inning thrills … another A’s victory … a bathroom malfunction.
Is there any better way to sum up the experiences of this team over the last two seasons?

haha True. Every time I check the standings I can't believe it. They're like the '08 Titans who were 13-0 and most didn't even know Tennessee had an NFL team.

Oh I knew because of that bull shit forward pass in 2000.

Only in Buffalo can you not get a call ever cause the leagues hate you.

I stopped being surprised sometime last August or September. They're good.

Good enough to make the playoffs not sure I can see them winning the WS. Kinda of like the yankees from 2001 to 2012 (minus 2009). 2013 thought they could make a run at the WC but not really make any noise.
