it doesn't take sabermetrics to know all ballparks aren't equal.
How many of his 21 HRs were hit at home? If I'm not mistaken, I think he hit more than half of his HRs away.

I think you'd like to see Story at 3B down the line (post-Arenado) if you're a Rox fan as he continues to develop and refine his game, offensively. Just not that great at short.

Everyone says the same thing about Seager - I'd like him to stay at SS as long as possible though.

If you only care about home runs, sure it looks even. However, his overall offensive production has been far greater at home.

Well, the early returns for Seager on defense are pretty good. Story has been mediocre. We'll see how things play out in the future, however. Still early in their careers, obviously.

I like Story a lot, but I worry about him being a flash in the pan. Look at that strikeout rate.

Thought this was going to be a Trailer Park Boys thread, at first glance. :pout:

A danger sure- few deny that- but that's where experience and refinement comes in- hopefully. It's not always so easy like Seager, Correa and Lindor make it look. Plenty of development still happens at the MLB level.

> 30% k rate = yikes

Yeah that was a bit of an unfair comparison by me. Those three (plus Bogaerts) are practically this era's new "Holy Trinity Tetrology of Shortstops" and maybe if Story is lucky he can be the Miguel Tejada of this batch.

He's got a lot of tough competition though, especially from dudes wearing Cubs uniforms.

God damn, we've got some awesome young shortstops in MLB nowadays. Feels like 2-4 years ago SS was a crapshoot outside of Tulo, Hanley, and that dude in SF with the greasy hair.
