Nobody's wigging out, it's just Trestman did not have a successful reign during his short stay with the Bears. But as for a great resume, maybe so, but if he's so great why is he coaching a team in a league that very few people give two shits about?

Well, you think ANYONE in America cares about the CFL? He's won like 3 or 4 CFL titles, which no one cares about. Why not try the XFL? If he wins in year one, who knows, maybe an NFL team will take a chance on him? Or maybe he just likes the idea of living in America, vs friggin Canada while making money as a coach???

And the whole Chicago situation was a horrible situation for him to step into. Some situations it's just almost impossible to do well, esp if you are only given 2 years to work with. I HATED the move, being a Vikings fan. I didn't want to have to cheer against him.

Look at his entire resume, minus the 2 years at Chicago, and you'd think he has a ton of potential to be a great coach. Only negative I can see is he's getting old as sh1t. Heck, he was Tony Dungy's backup QB in college, and Dungy's been retired for a long time now. Although Dungy had another decade in him at least, I believe, but he just wanted to move on, so he probably retired early.

Here's hoping Zimmer retires and he becomes the Vikings coach. It could be a win win for both of us.
